I agree with other reviewers except the comment, "Great clips of 1940's trains & trucks." They would be great clips since it was a 1937 film.

I like the train footage but really its a sort of cartoon plot. I guess its the 1930 version of a feel good movie. Very predictable. Some funny jokes here and there and the acting is pretty good. Light entertainment.

The outcome predictable, but the trip is worth it. Great clips of 1940's trains & trucks. Acting pretty good and overall a pleasant 52 minutes!!

This is the kind of picture that Nat Levine knew how to make from his earliest days at Mascot. Sol Siegel was now on board as line producer and Joe Kane was in the director's chair. It's a nice, tight, little railroaders against crooked truckers picture with a lot of action (particularly well photographed train and truck race)a little romance, a little comedy, and a very good cast. Grant Withers still in his leading man stage is very good. He would be a Republic Pictures staple for many years, as would Director Joe Kane. Dorothy Appleby has just the right amount of spunk and sexuality for her part, which she plays a little broad. Harry Davenport as Jed Carson, practically steals the picture as the "Grandfatherly" head of the railroad. The large cast of Republic Pictures regulars are all fine. An enjoyable little film.
